How much of a challenge would it be to get the factory backup camera connected into the new aftermarket radio? I imagine that I will need to splice a composite cable some place. I have the factory backup camera system where the monitor is behind the left portion of the rear view mirror glass. I do have one question which relates to the backup camera. I can build my own box to fit under the rear passenger seat instead also did I mention that the price of the stealthbox is ridiculous? With the Stealth box the sub is mounted under the rear driver side which leaves only the space under the rear passenger seat available for storage. I choose the JL audio 10TW3-D4 syb over the JL Audio Stealthbox due the the $$$ and I really would like the sub and box to take up as little room as possible. I plan on mounting the amp and the front component crossovers on the backwall behind the rear seat. Wiring: 4 gauge power, 12 Gauge speaker, 1X4 channel RCA, 1X2 channel RCA Hi all, I am upgrading my 2018 Lariat with the standard stereo system (non-B&O) to include an amplifier, 10' Sub Woofer, and would like to run amp power to the front door speakers. This will free up a front cup holder for those long road trips. I love the idea of having the storage pocket at the bottom of the dash that the iDatalink K150 dash kit provides as I have the none connected center console and the spot I use to hold my phone is one of the cup holders at the front. My navigation is also ran off my phone so again with android auto/apple carplay the nav screen is now up high in the center of the dash instead of on my phone. 2013 - 2020 F1 - 2019 F250 F350 F450 F550 Factory Base Model NON Amplified Radio Plug n Play Audio Harnesses: Kits. A couple of the main deciding factors include: I primarily stream my audio off of my phone so having android auto/apple carplay is a huge plus. 2021 AND UP F1 AND UP F250 F350 F450 Factory Base Model 4 - 12 inch Screen NON Amplified Radio Plug n Play Audio Harnesses: Kits. Currently a complete gut job is winning my internal debate. I have debated with myself with regards to keeping the stock radio and going the route of a DSP/amp/speaker upgrade or completely gutting the stock audio with an aftermarket radio/amp/speaker setup. If you need more, then you can amp the speakers at that time.My truck currently has the 4.3" screen radio and like others have noticed with this radio option the sound quality is less than stellar with the factory components. I think you'll see more bang for your buck with speaker upgrade alone, than a new head unit and sub even. Put money into the speaker budget and leave the current Ford head unit, and a small sub. New head unit may help the sound a bit, but again more power to bad speakers, not going to do much. Add an amplifier and you'll more than likely destroy them with no sound benefit. I'm no longer into rattling the neighbors windows, just looking to fill in the lows so I hope it will be enough. I personally went with a smaller powered sub as I cannot lose any floor space in the truck. I'm still waiting on delivery of the parts, so no feedback on how it sounds yet unfortunately, but am excited about it. Lots of research here, youtube, plus personal experience from previous cars, and consulting with Bruce hushcaraudio here on the forums, has lead me to do a full speaker swap, 4 channel amp, and a small powered sub that will fit behind the rear seats, and some sound deadning. I too just started this journey with a similar thought of nothing to crazy.
